The Wizarding World of Harry Potter exploded on the Universal Studios Orlando stage with such a force that people were in line for hours waiting just to enter. Luckily for me, I waited until November before I braved the crowds! I’m not fanatical, but I do love me my Harry Potter time. I have read all of the books and seen all of the movies. And LOVED Harry Potter’s world.
Probably the best ride I have ever ridden was the The Forbidden Journey. This is a virtual and reality based ride that has you flying on your broomstick through all of Harry’s magical adventures at Hogwarts. Don’t worry about the wait, though. Before you get to the ride, you get to wander the halls of Hogwarts and live the magic of talking pictures and even Dumbledore himself!
Universal Studios converted the old Dueling Dragons into the Dragon Challenge. I recommend trying both sides, but I really like the Chinese Fireball side better. I found it a more intense ride. The last ride is Flight of the Hippogriff. I wouldn’t do this unless you have little kids. I didn’t find much to it.
Before heading to the rest of the park, be sure to try the Butterbeer. We had a frozen one. I have been informed, though, that the regular butterbeers are much better! The rest of our time was just spent meandoring through a world of total make believe. A great adventure to be sure!
