Since I started this thread last week, I thought I would answer a question for you that I have heard over and over and over again :). What is your role in planning my wedding? or the simple… What do you do?
Consider me something like your coordinator. Not always of your actual ceremony and reception, but of everything else. I will help with the ceremony and reception if you WANT, but most hotels have a department who’s expertise is to make your wedding and reception perfect and unique for you. I am the girl who makes sure everything runs smoothly for you so that you don’t have to worry about a thing! Whether your guest list is 4 or 40 or 400, my job and my joy is to make sure that your wedding vacation is planned properly and all of your guests are taken care of.
An example. I got a phone call once. A guest had two connections to get to her final destination. The first flight caused no problems. When she arrived at the airport, she was informed that her second flight was cancelled! She got on the next flight out of Denver, but when she arrived in Houston she would not have time to get to the last flight leaving that day. We talked over the problem and I had a back up plan in place for her to stay over night at a hotel with a flight departing early the next morning. We stayed in contact until she was on the final plane and off to her tropical vacation. The bride was in Mexico, enjoying herself and not worrying about her guest getting to her wedding, because I was in control of the situation.
Sudden guest list change? Not a problem. You’d be amazed how many times I get a calls asking me if it’s too late to add a guest to the group. I’ll work with your new guests to get them the best travel arrangements so you don’t have to stress about them.
Want to do something awesome and unique for your guests? I’ll work with you to set up an excursion that they will never forget! I have sent the guys off to a day of fishing while the women enjoyed a day in the spa. I can arrange a sunset cruise on a catamaran as a cocktail party to welcome your guests. Want everyone to go zip lining in the rain forest? Not a problem!
I am your destination specialist. While I definitely haven’t been everywhere (at 30 that would be a miracle and I would never have had time to be in the office!) I have contacts and resources who know every inch of the world. I’m going to use that knowledge and those resources for you. That’s what I do!
