I did mention that because Orlando is so close I find myself there often right? Well, mom and I needed a break. The past few weeks have been hectic and stressful… the next few weeks look like they will be equally so. It has been a long long time since we’ve gone away just the two of us.
After work Friday, we said goodbye to dad (some one had to watch the office while we were gone!) and jumped in the car and sped off to a new adventure.
So after planning a girls-only weekend, we found out the my little brother… see picture below for definition of “little” and his girlfriend would be there at the same time. They live in Ft Myers so it’s always a treat when we get to see each other! (He’s going to love this next sentance… *insert evil laugh*) So if it’s a “girls-only” weekend and Brian joined us… does this make him a girl? Discuss…
There is a small area in Orlando on SR 192 which I have never visited, but always intrigued me. If you have driven through the area you would have seen the tall neon lit crane type objects towering over everything. This area is called “Old Town” and “Fun Zone”. We decided that since Brian loves it there and I have never been, it would be a good thing to blog about!
Old Town has a couple of rides, a ropes adventure course, some shops and some places to eat. We had a lot of fun just walking through the streets looking in different stores. I definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the area. It’s a really fun place.
The next morning we went to Universal Studios and mom got to see The Wizarding World of Harry Potter for the first time! The rides were just as great as I remembered from last time. The shops were WAY too crowded. They seriously need to expand those a bit so people have room to walk around. And the Butterbeer (frozen is the way to go) was delish! Enjoy the pics of our vacation together and I’ll see you all tomorrow!
