The Seabourn Quest

I always love to have people’s input!  Linda went last night on a tour of the Seabourn Quest.  Seabourn is a Luxury cruise line which includes all of your gratuities, your liquor, your food, and your entertainment on board.  Let’s hear from Linda!

Last night I toured the Seabourn Quest, the third ship in Seabourn’s expansion.  These ships are larger than Seabourn’s original ships and still quietly elegant.  Walking through the ship, I had the feeling I was in a floating country club.  The suites are spacious and beautifully appointed.  The public areas are warm and inviting.  The Seabourn Square is a fabulous area to gather or relax.  I could see myself sitting contentedly looking out the large windows, curled up with a book (or my nook).  Comfortable chairs in facing each other offer a place to meet other cruisers.  The open bar policy on the ships make it comfortable for guests to gather and interact.

The outdoor eating area on the Seabourn Quest is a wonderful place.  This casual dining area was set for dinner with table cloths, china and crystal.  Just being there, with the breeze blowing, looking at the signature breadsticks on the table, makes you want to sit and enjoy a meal.  And casual doesn’t mean second string as far as the food goes.  I heard stories of lobster tails and filet from recent cruisers.  We did have dinner in The Restaurant (this is their main restaurant) and I can say that it was wonderful.  Course by course the presentation was appealing and the food was delicious!  And we actually got to eat the breadsticks.  They were worth the wait.

The Quest boasts a large, elegant spa, a spa terrace area where you could have a treatment overlooking the sea in complete privacy.  There are Kinesis machines, treadmills, elliptical machines, stationary bikes and other machines I do not understand.  The gym and I are not on a first name basis so this is foreign to me.  But the staff was talking about fitness instruction and classes that were included no charge.

With tears in my eyes I had to disembark.  *sigh*  But hopefully I will return sooner rather than later!
