Audubon Park Golf Course
Just minutes away from the French Quarter, Audubon Park Golf Course offers a unique golfing experience for a surprisingly reasonable price. Tee off amid 100-year-old oak trees and lush landscaping while enjoying the well-manicured course designed by renowned golf course architect Denis Griffiths. This competitive 18-hole, par-62 course includes contoured Bermuda fairways, Tif-Eagle greens and four lagoons. Afterward, stop and eat at the Audubon Clubhouse Café before heading back to the French Quarter, or stock up on apparel and equipment at Audubon’s Pro Shop. Weekday green fees cost $30, and weekends cost $40.
Joseph M. Bartholomew, Sr. Municipal Golf Course
Originally opened in 1956 as the Pontchartrain Golf Course, this 18-hole, par-72 course was recently renovated to include a double-ended driving range, putting green and a fully equipped pro-shop. The sprawling facility includes emerald green Bermuda fairways, two practice greens and nine lakes. Weekend and holiday rates cost $30, but to really save some money, try the twilight rate, which costs only $18.
Bayou Barriere
Located about 20 minutes from downtown New Orleans, Bayou Barriere Golf Club is a 27-hole, par 70 course featuring Bermuda-grass fairways and greens, practice bunkers, chipping greens and putting greens. After your game, stop by the new clubhouse for a New Orleans-style barbecue pork sandwich at The Bayou Grill. Golf rates include cart rentals and cost $23 Mondays through Thursdays and $26 Fridays through Sundays.
**Save Money on Twilight Rates:

Even if you’d like to experience the impeccable amenities and immaculate grounds of more expensive courses, there’s no reason you have to break the bank doing it. Many courses offer twilight rates, which is a discounted rate in the afternoon. For example, Stonebridge Golf Club of New Orleans, which is the only true links-style course in greater New Orleans, slashes their green fees to $45 (down from $70) after 2 p.m.
