Ok women! How many of you have been dreaming of your wedding dress since you were a little girl? You know exactly what you want, exactly what looks good on you? Well, unfortunately for my poor mother… that wasn’t me! When I say that I have been through six stores and almost 100 dresses, I am NOT exaggerating. I went to Alfred Angelo and tried on the Disney wedding dress collection. I went to Naomis, Bridal Couture of Boca Raton, Victoria’s Bridal, and Unique Bridal. Those poor women had to get me in and out of dress after dress! They are my personal heros.

Sadly I can’t show you any of the pictures of me trying on different dresses till after my wedding. I’ll run a follow up to this in December some time! So for this I needed to borrow images off of the web. I can tell you one important thing I learned. Your dress is all about you. It doesn’t matter what anyone else says in the end. Just because you are getting married in a vineyard or on a beach doesn’t mean that you have to choose a specific type of dress.

You can get married on the beach in a short dress with the wind ruffling your dress around your knees or you can wear the ball gown of your dreams. You can get married in a vineyard with a train that follows you down the aisle or a Scarlett O’hara style dress. As with every detail of your wedding, the world is your oyster and you can make it completely your own!
