Num num num num num is ALL I have to say.
Ok maybe not ALL that I have to say, but it does just about cover it. It was my goal to try many new and local foods. We didn’t get to a luau, so I didn’t get to see the suckling pig on a spit, but I did try some amazing pork products! We ate everything from 5 star gourmet food to food truck comfort food. Truly a great experience!
The first night, we were all so tired that we contemplated skipping dinner. In the end, hunger won though. We walked until we came to the Waikiki Beach Marriott. On the third floor terrace there is a tiki bar, Moana Terrace. Most of us had the pork sliders. I tried the cole slaw and everyone else had the french fries. Each bite melted in my mouth. DELICIOUS!!! One of the other girls had the seared ahi tuna and wow was that amazing (a little bit of a kick to it!).
One of my favorite restaurants is called The Grove in Kailua. We stopped here as a detour on the way up to the North Shore and I was so glad! This is the kind of restaurant that prides itself on the use of local ingredients Let me tell you, there is NOTHING wrong with their local ingredients! They took us on a private journey through appetizers, entrees and desserts which they paired with impeccable wines! When you go to O’ahu… stop in for a meal. You will NOT be disappointed.

I will mention some more restaurants later on in my other blogs about my trip, but for now… enjoy the pictures!
