After spending the first 4 days of my Honeymoon in Bruges, I can tell you that I am in love.  We stayed in the smallest Bed and Breakfast with the most wonderful proprietors!  I still email them occasionally when I see something that reminds me of them!  If you are ever going to the area, check out Huis Koning http://www.huiskoning.be/homeEN.html for an amazing stay.  There are only three rooms, so book early!  Try to get Ter Reie for an amazingly charming view.
